Fieldfares and Bears...

We had a few hours of glorious sunshine the other day, and the chance to get some images through the kitchen window of a couple of fieldfares feeding on the cotoneaster tree was too good to miss.

Most of the berries have been eaten and there just remain a few boughs still holding on tight to their little crop of scarlet jewels.

When the birds had had their fill, they were off...

Thanks to each and everyone of you who have either posted or sent emails to me about Bear and wishing her a speedy recovery. She is still doing well, although in truth it has to be said that that term is relative, but she is eating with a good appetite, drinking water and er.... etc. She has to be helped a lot as she is very, very shakey on her legs but my goodness, she is a fighter! Hugs to you all.

Hi Deedee - thanks for dropping by my blog and thanks too for your good wishes for Bear - she has improved a little overnight so I'm keeping my fingers (and toes!) crossed. V xx

  5. Oh dear - I'm not having much luck here - there's a note on your photos saying that they're currently unavailable, and this is the second time I've tried to leave a apologies if I appear here twice.
Just wanted to say that I'm glad to hear that your Bear is eating, and am also crossing fingers for a complete recovery. I'll be back to see if the photos are up, as you always post such lovely ones.

  6. Hello Pondside - how bizarre re: the photos - no idea why - only one message has 'landed' - I have noticed the same issue with messages on other occasions.... blogger having a 'moment'! Thank you so much for your care and kindness towards my Bear - I will give her a pat for you... Hugs and warm wishes to you xx

  7. Apologies to all if you are having problems viewing these images - I don't know what the problem is but if you click on the image, then you should be taken to Flckr and be able to view it there.... if anyone has any experience of these issues, then I'd be glad to hear of the solution!!! Hugs to all V xx
